Based in Chaska, Minnesota, My Pillow, Inc. (MyPillow) is an American manufacturer of pillows. Mike Lindell, the inventor of the open-cell, poly-foam pillow design known as My Pillow, launched the company in 2009.
Mike Lindell, a Minnesotan, invented My Pillow.Lindell mortgaged his home and sold four pubs he owned in Carver County, Minnesota, to help fund the development of the pillow.With assistance from his family, Lindell initially handled all aspects of the sales and distribution in addition to hand-sewing the pillows.
In 2005, a kiosk in Eden Prairie Centre, a shopping centre located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, offered the first My Pillow for sale.

My pillow products are made with a patented design that combines various sized open-cell poly-foam parts. Before selecting the best foam, Lindell claims to have evaluated ninety-four different brands. A device Lindell created based on a piece of farm machinery chops the pieces according to specifications. Additionally, the mixture contains a resin that allows the foam to be moulded to the user’s desired shape while maintaining much of its structure. The pillows are machine-washable, dryer-safe, dust mite-resistant, and non-allergic.
My Pillow received the 2013 Q-Star Award for Best Product Concept of the Year from QVC.
