International Dairy Queen, Inc., also owns Orange Julius. The soft-serve formula was first developed in 1938 by John Fremont “J.F.” “Grandpa” McCullough and his son Alex. The company’s corporate offices are located in the Minneapolis suburb of Edina, Minnesota.
